The labyrinth is one of the oldest tools for prayer and meditation known to humankind. They are found in many spiritual traditions and cultures throughout the world.
Located east of our church building, the labyrinth at The Presbyterian Church of Sidney is based on the labyrinth at the Cathedral in Reims. The gardens are a way to honor the early members of the church and the sacred ground that has housed three different church buildings, a middle school, a junior high school, a senior high school and the Presbyterian Cemetery over the years since the grounds were plotted for church use by city-developer Charles Starret in the early 1800's.
We encourage you to come out to walk the path and enjoy the gardens. We hope you will take your experience out into the world; it may be a refreshed spirit, renewed vision, peace, gratitude, understanding, forgiveness, and calm.
